Using the analogue photo process called cyanotype, I created a series of large prints related to the sculptural mobile ‘Instrument of Thought: A meditation on matter and light’. The white glass shapes, reminiscent of dark matter halos mapped by scientists, float in alluring deep blue space. Subtle contours are revealed when the sun’s UV rays wrap around the forms (including small rocks) imprinting a negative image on the paper – 3D form is compressed into 2D space.
