A handmade cyanotype print from the Euclid Mission art plaque currently on the space telescope. Under my direction, a large artwork was created from the painted fingertips of about 250 scientists and engineers who worked on the mission during their conference in Helsinki in 2019. This collaborative artwork was etched on an aluminium A4 plaque and attached to the craft that is orbiting 1.5 million miles from Earth for at least 6 years. Poetry was commissioned from Simon Barraclough and phrase were used around the galaxy edges. Essentially a galaxy hunting telescope the mission is looking to reveal the structure of dark matter in the universe. Each is unique as the deep blue has tonal variations: it is signed and numbered on the back. A limited edition A5 print of 50, 24 are remaining and it will be mailed flat.
