While visiting Iceland, I explored the stark, geologically active environment with photography. Later I used images touching on the concept of gravity and orientation to landscape and the horizon. Astral data mapping matter in the universe was added in fluorescent pink ink.

Artist statement: Based on images from a trip to Iceland, this print examines the concept of 'up' and our relationship to the horizon. The fluorescent pink area uses data from galaxy maps of the observable universe.
